the place
A low coral island ringed by white sand and pale blue sea.
Bridges carry the road across the shallows to its neighbours, Kurima, Ikema and Irabu, the Irabu Bridge the longest toll-free bridge in Japan. To the east the land runs out at Higashi-Hennazaki, a narrow cape with a lighthouse above the reef.
Miyakojima is about fifty minutes by air from Naha, with direct flights from Tokyo. We plan it as a Custom Tour of Japan, created around your party alone, on your dates.
