questions

Families and friends, answered

Who is this tour for?

Three or more people travelling together on one private tour of Japan: a family across generations, two or three families at once, or a party of friends. Everyone travels together, with one Tour Director, on a journey created for your party alone.

How much does a private family tour of Japan cost?

From $2,750 per person, per day, twin share. International flights not included. Anyone with a room of their own is priced separately, and the larger the party, the less each person pays. Your proposal carries the figure.

Can the party go separate ways for part of a day?

Yes. Some of you can spend an afternoon at a forge or on a mountain path while the others take a garden or a long lunch, and everyone meets again for dinner. Your Tour Director arranges both halves of the day.

What if one of us needs a gentler pace, a particular diet or fewer stairs?

Tell us in the Journey form. We plan the walking, the stairs and the meals around the person who needs it, quietly, so the day works for them and for everyone else.

How does it begin?

With the Journey form: what you love, then where and when, and who is travelling. It takes about ten minutes. A call with our team follows, and everyone travelling is welcome on it.
