The rooms
Every room is dressed in a Japanese-inspired manner with panoramic windows, and the choice is between the city side and the bay side, from the King and Twin rooms through corner suites to the two-bedroom Deluxe Suite and the Royal Suite. The Executive rooms, the Deluxe Suites and the Royal Suite share a lounge with its own check-in, breakfast, afternoon tea and evening cocktails.

The pool and the spa
The spa covers some 1,400 square metres of the 29th floor: the 25-metre indoor pool beneath its seven-metre window, treatment rooms in a Japanese setting, a relaxation room, and a hinoki cypress bath in the signature ritual. There is no hot spring at the hotel.

Dining
There are restaurants for modern French cooking, for modern Chinese cooking with the skyline through floor-to-ceiling windows, and for Japanese cooking, with sushi, kaiseki and teppanyaki in a spare, modern room. An all-day dining room serves from breakfast, and the bar and lounge on the 28th floor looks across the city.

Shiodome is a district of towers between Ginza and Tokyo Bay, and the hotel fills the upper floors of one of them, next to Shiodome Station, with the shogun's garden of Hamarikyu laid out below and the bay beyond. A collection of art from Tokyo hangs through the hotel, with a catalogue for guests to follow on their own.
Ginza is about five hundred metres away and the Tsukiji Outer Market under a kilometre, with the Hamarikyu Gardens directly below.
